The RESIST Project is a transformative initiative developed with the European Space Agency to tackle the rising threat of GNSS jamming and spoofing. By integrating the advanced CDCU algorithm, the project enhances resilience and detection capabilities for satellite-based navigation systems, supporting safety-critical infrastructures worldwide.
This new approach combines real-time detection, advanced signal processing, and global cooperation to redefine how GNSS interference is handled. With the ever-growing reliance on satellite navigation, protecting the integrity and trustworthiness of these systems has never been more important.

How RESIST Works

RESIST deploys a network of monitoring stations linked to a cloud-based platform that uses machine learning to detect and classify GNSS interference events. This ensures continuous, real-time situational awareness for critical operators. The study was successfully completed in June 2023, and RESIST is now actively monitoring critical infrastructures to protect vital navigation and timing systems against jamming and spoofing attacks.
- 1) Sensing: Fixed/portable monitoring stations capture GNSS spectrum & observables.
- 2) Edge pre‑processing: On‑site filtering and feature extraction to reduce noise.
- 3) Cloud analytics: CDCU‑based models detect & classify interference in near real‑time.
- 4) Alerting & APIs: Events are pushed to dashboards, notifications, and partner systems.
- 5) Continuous learning: Labels & feedback improve models and thresholds over time.
The feasibility study concluded in June 2023. RESIST is now supporting operators with ongoing monitoring and interference awareness across critical assets.
